The EAACI FAAM-EUROBAT 2024 in Athens, Greece has the following assessment statuses:
- CVS assessment is determined to be COMPLIANT – EMT40507
- FAAM-EuroBAT has been reviewed and declared COMPLIANT by SFEE
The CVS information is available on www.ethicalmedtech.eu
EAACI provides specific information through a review process (CVS) that is based on a set of 6 criteria: the scientific programme, the geographic location, the conference venue, the hospitality, the registration packages benefits, and communication.
CVS is an independently managed system which reviews the compliance of third-party educational events with MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and Mecomed Code of Business Practice (the “Codes”) to determine the appropriateness for companies which are members of MedTech Europe and Mecomed to provide financial support to such events in the form of educational grants or commercial activities (booths, advertising, satellite symposium).
EthicalMedTech is the compliance portal of MedTech Europe. It features all compliance initiatives carried by the association. e4ethics has been integrated to that platform to respond to a request of EFPIA to outsource and centralise the assessment processes of both industries.
This integration results from a desire of both EFPIA and MedTech Europe to ensure consistency and harmonisation across the healthcare industry for the benefit of all stakeholders involved. Both associations agreed that having a unique approach and decision mechanism would bring industry members and National Associations, Healthcare Organisations and Professional Conference Organisers consistency in the way TPOEs are assessed and streamline how industry can support these events.
