Poster Presenter Guidelines
Poster Discussion Sessions – Presenter Guidelines
Poster Discussion Sessions (PDS) are conducted with E-Posters. Four Poster Discussion Zones are integrated in the Poster Area.
The Poster Discussion Zones feature a large touch screen and space for audience. Each PDS contains 12-15 posters and runs for 90 minutes in total. Each abstract presenter will have the opportunity to summarize their main findings in 5-7 minutes including discussion time (depending on number of abstracts per session) while zooming into different parts of the E-Poster. Please note that it is preferred that the presenters remain for the entirety of the session to answer questions.
E-Posters will be also available for viewing in the EAACI Congress App as of 26 May 2018 and onsite at the congress in the Virtual Congress Hubs.
Presenters will receive their final abstract number by beginning of May. This abstract number will be used to identify your abstract in the Congress programme. Please note that it replaces the submission ID you received when submitting your abstract.
If you have any questions related to your presentation, please consult the Poster Help Desk.
Best presentation prize
A prize of EUR 200 will be awarded to the best presentation in each abstract session. The winners of the awards will be listed each evening at the EAACI Booth and acknowledged on the Congress website. The prize money will be paid after the Congress and a diploma will be sent by e-mail.
Poster upload and measurements
E-Posters must be uploaded prior to the Congress in order to allow technical processing. If your abstract has been accepted, you will be sent a link to upload your poster.
All E-Posters must have landscape orientation and can have up to 10 slides. (In this case please duplicate the template slide provided here below as necessary. However, please note that you have to upload your E-Poster presentation in one PDF.)
The poster measurements are as follows:
Dimensions in Pixel 1536 width x 1080 height
Dimensions in cm 54,2 width x 38,1 height

By clicking on this link, you will also have the possibility to download a poster template to start creating your poster. Please be aware that the final deadline for the poster upload will be May 20, 2018.
Embedded videos
You can enrich your poster by embedding a video with a maximum length of 30 seconds. Possible video formats are: .mp4, .mpg, .mov, .avi (no sound supported)
Illustration layout
Drawings, diagrams and pictures are helpful and often necessary to illustrate results and conclusions. Make sure that your illustrations are easy to understand. Do not overload charts or drawings with information.
Conflict of interest
A disclosure of conflict of interest* must be included in the poster presentation. It should be placed on the second slide and state:
In relation to this presentation, I declare the following, real or perceived conflicts of interest: (description of the conflict of interest)
OR
In relation to this presentation, I declare that there are no conflicts of interest.
* A conflict of interest is any situation in which a speaker or immediate family members have interests, which may cause a conflict with the current presentation. Conflicts of interest do not preclude the delivery of the talk, but should be explicitly declared. These may include financial interests (e.g. owning stocks of a related company, having received honoraria, consultancy fees), research interests (research support by grants or otherwise),
organisational interests and gifts.
Consent for publication of individual patient data – applies to abstracts and presentations with identifiable patient information
For the publication of an abstract/presentation that contains identifiable information about patients, it is necessary that patients have given consent for the research to be published. For all abstracts/presentations that include identifiable patient details (e.g. gender, age, illness, location) or images, written informed consent for the publication of these must be obtained from the patient (or their parent or legal guardian).
It is the author’s responsibility to obtain written informed consent for publication of clinical details and/or clinical images from the patient/parent/guardian/relative of the patient. A respective statement needs to be included on the poster.
Your poster in the app
To give your poster more impact and visibility, EAACI will include your E-poster and the abstract text in the Congress app where they will be available as of 26 May 2018.
Registration
All presenting authors must register and pay the registration fee.
