Streamed Tracks

All sessions allow for interaction with the speaker(s) via the live chat function available throughout the duration of the presentations. A selection of the EAACI-ESCD SAM Digital 2023 scientific content will stay available on the EAACI-ESCD SAM Digital 2023 platform for a limited period after the meeting. This content is only available to delegates who registered for the EAACI-ESCD SAM Digital 2023 meeting.

Nature of the event:

The Skin Allergy Meeting (SAM) is a biannual meeting. This event has been organized by the European Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) for many years and in its latest editions it has been held jointly with the European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD).

In the last edition, due to the COVID pandemic, the meeting was held online, and this edition was also valued.

The meeting will provide up-to-date information for clinicians, covering basic, translational and clinical aspects on atopic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, mast cell driven diseases, cutaneous drug allergy, anaphylaxis, food allergy and the skin, hand eczema and occupational eczema, among others. We will welcome acclaimed experts presenting keynote lectures.

Moreover, to enhance the learning experience, the meeting will be a platform for “pro & con” discussions and case reports.

Target Audience

SAM 2023 will bring together clinicians (allergists and dermatologists) and scientists (faculty and industry-based), with a broad range of experience from junior scientists/medical doctors to key opinion leaders, at a focused meeting dedicated to all aspects of skin allergy.

Although most of the attendees are European, it also regularly has the presence of doctors from other continents (America, Asia…)

The digital programme is designed to facilitate clinical, scientific and bench-to-bedside discussions by clinicians and scientists.

Educational needs

SAM 2023 will provide up-to-date information for clinicians, covering basic, translational and clinical aspects on drug hypersensitivity, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, hereditary angioedema, mastocytosis, anaphylaxis, urticaria and occupational eczema, among others.

To enhance the learning experience, the programme will include Meet the expert session and Pro-Con session.

Educational outcomes

  1. encourage scientific collaborations and interactions
  2. facilitate the translation of emerging discoveries in skin allergy
  3. participants will be aware of new scientific data
  4. analyse the practical aspects of diagnosis in skin allergy
  5. know the new treatments in allergic skin pathology.
