Dear EAACI family member,

As the leading organization in the field of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology EAACI has a significant opportunity to leverage its experience and reputation to promote high-quality, multinational research with the goal of improving the health of our patients. This project developed by the EAACI’s Research and Outreach Committee proposes an innovative knowledge exchange platform that is meant as an investment of the Academy in the future of allergy, asthma and clinical immunology research

The goals of the EAACI research network (ERN) are:

1. to map the European research landscape supporting recommendations for future transnational research strategy in allergy, asthma and clinical immunology
2. to facilitate collaborations between different laboratories/clinics and scientists/clinicians within the EAACI family and with connected specialities and stakeholders.
3. to encourage synergies and cooperation and reduce duplication of efforts
4. to identify gaps and priorities that need attention from funding organisations

For this purpose, we have developed an open access reliable, comprehensive and continuously up-to-date online database with information on the multiple facilities, capacities and accreditations of each laboratory/clinic. The structure of the database was planned for future connection to a wider exchange network with other specialties and stakeholders.
