EAACI is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the EAACI Early Career Research Award in collaboration with Allergy Therapeutics/Bencard Allergie. This is your chance to gain recognition and secure funding to advance your work!
The EAACI Early Career Research Award encourages young researchers and clinicians to push the boundaries in AIT research that contribute to advancing allergy and immunology research and innovation as future leaders in the field.

Grant
Unrestricted Research Grant Award is for up to 30.000 euros, supported by Allergy Therapeutics/Bencard Allergie.

Celebration at Congress 2025
The awardee will be honoured during the EAACI Congress 2025 Opening Ceremony in Glasgow, United Kingdom, on the 13 June 2025.

Eligibility
The award is open to EAACI Junior Members (JM) in good standing who have published their research on allergy and immunology, including but not limited to AIT.

Application Procedure
The application must include the following personal details:
- Full name, Date of birth, Institute/Hospital, Department, Full address, Phone, Mobile, e-mail, Present official title/profession/position, Degree and conflict of interest.
- Curriculum vitae
- A motivational cover letter (half a page) why you / nominee should be a candidate for the Award.
- Highlight and enclose 3–5 of his/her most important articles.
- Add a description of the Research Project including estimated detailed budget.
- The application must be endorsed by the Institution that will be the recipient of the Award payment. A letter of recommendation from the head of the department should be submitted along with the application
- Add the Name, Contact and bank account details of the Institution that will receive and administer the Award money.

Selection Criteria and Process
- Each application will be reviewed by the committees (below-mentioned) and will score the candidates based on the following criteria:
- The candidate’s accomplished and planned research should be of high quality and in the forefront of allergy and immunology.
- The planned research (preferably in the fields of allergen immunotherapy, respiratory or food allergy and clinical immunology) will contribute to a better understanding of allergic inflammation as well as improved diagnostic procedures and treatment, enabling more optimal patient management and patient satisfaction
- The level of independence of the candidate’s research will also be taken into consideration.
- Cumulative citation factor and Impact factor
- The Nomination Committee summarises all the applications and comes up with a top list of applicants (3-5).
- Following this ranking, the Award Committee, comprised of the EAACI President, Secretary General, the Vice-President Science and Vice- President of Education will provide their recommendation on the awardee out of these nominees.
NB: The award sponsor is not involved in the process of selection or adjudication of the award.
