Accessibility

Accessibility to the venue

The EAACI Spring Meeting 2026 will take place at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade, located in the New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) district close to the Sava River, major roads and public transport connections. The hotel is approximately 15–25 minutes by car from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG), depending on traffic, and around 2–3 km from the city centre and main train station.

Delegates can reach the venue easily by taxi, ride-hailing services or pre-booked private transfers from the airport, with clearly signposted taxi services and fixed-zone fares available at the arrivals area. Public bus services and shuttles also connect the airport with central Belgrade, from where local buses and trams run to the New Belgrade district near the hotel.

The Hyatt Regency Belgrade is situated on relatively level ground with direct access from the surrounding streets and nearby public transport stops. The hotel offers step-free access to the lobby and meeting areas, and is designed as a modern business and conference property with lifts serving guest room floors and public spaces.

Participants with reduced mobility or specific accessibility needs are encouraged to contact the hotel in advance to obtain up-to-date details on accessible guest rooms, parking, entrances and facilities. The EAACI Events Team will be available before and during the Spring Meeting to help address accessibility-related questions and to coordinate with the venue for any special requirements.

Travel to Belgrade from abroad

Belgrade is well connected to many European and international destinations by air, rail, long-distance bus and road, making it accessible for EAACI Spring Meeting 2026 participants arriving from other countries. The city lies at a major regional crossroads, so it can be reached directly from many hubs or via convenient connections through nearby capitals.

By air

Most international delegates will arrive via Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG), Serbia’s main international airport, located about 18 km west of the city centre. BEG is the primary hub for Air Serbia and is served by several European and international airlines offering direct flights from major cities across Europe and beyond.

Passengers with connecting itineraries can reach Belgrade through regional hubs such as Vienna, Frankfurt, Paris, Istanbul and Zurich, which offer frequent onward services to BEG. The airport has a modern terminal with standard ground transport options including taxis, airport buses and car rentals for onward travel into the city.

By train

Belgrade can also be reached by train from several neighbouring and regional countries, with services operating from cities such as Budapest, Vienna, Zagreb, Sofia and other Balkan destinations. International rail services are subject to timetable and infrastructure changes, so travellers should check current schedules with Serbian Railways and relevant foreign railway operators when planning their trip.

For participants arriving from Western and Central Europe, it is often practical to fly to a major hub (for example Vienna or Budapest) and then continue to Belgrade by train, combining air and rail travel. Rail passes such as Eurail or Interrail may be useful for those planning multi-country train journeys including Serbia.

By long-distance bus

Regular international bus lines connect Belgrade with many European cities, including routes from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, the Netherlands and regional neighbours. These services typically arrive at Belgrade’s main bus station close to the city centre, from where local public transport and taxis are available to reach hotels and the Hyatt Regency area.

International coaches can be a cost-effective option and may be particularly convenient for participants travelling from nearby Balkan and Central European countries. Tickets can usually be purchased online via major coach operators or directly at bus stations, but advance booking is recommended around weekends and holiday periods.

By car

Delegates travelling by car can reach Belgrade via the main European motorway corridors passing through Serbia, including routes from Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania. Well-maintained highways link Belgrade with Budapest, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Bucharest and other regional centres, with toll sections on some routes.

Drivers should ensure they carry all mandatory documents (passport or ID, driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance) and check current road regulations and border requirements before departure. Parking is available at various public garages and hotel car parks in Belgrade, including options in the New Belgrade district close to the Hyatt Regency.
