Take the survey by the EAACI Task Force: Improving Chronic Urticaria Management in Pediatrics – (ICUMP) Management (2)
Urticaria is a cutaneous mast cell-driven disease, characterized by the spontaneous development of hives and /or angioedema. Urticaria is classified as acute or chronic based on the duration of illness. Chronic Urticaria (CU) has a greater impact on health-related quality of life in pediatric patients compared to other chronic diseases of childhood.
The aim of this task force is to make a clinician survey and determine the epidemiologic characteristics of children with CU, the different subtypes, the etiology, and their characteristics in different age groups.
Furthermore, the task force will provide valuable ways to monitor new and/ or established therapeutic schemes for the management of the different subtypes of CU and trace the existence of any comorbidities of the different subtypes and therapeutic schemes.
Finally, this will allow the task force to form a collaborative network looking at whether children with CU receive the appropriate level of care based on the best pediatric-specific evidence and identify unmet needs and pinpoint further required efforts in the field.
The deadline for completing the survey is August 29 2022.
