About the Initiative

The EAACI Students Awareness Day is a new educational legacy initiative by EAACI, aiming to raise early awareness about allergies, asthma, and respiratory health among younger audiences. This special event will take place for the first time ever during PAAM 2025, marking a meaningful step in EAACI’s mission to foster community engagement and health literacy from an early age.

Although the event is not open to additional participants, we are proud to share this initiative as part of our commitment to public health education and intergenerational outreach.

  • Students: 34 local schoolchildren, aged 12

  • Audience: School teachers and staff

  • Speakers & Educators:

    • EAACI Leadership

    • Physicians and Psychologists

    • EAACI Patient Organisations Committee and EAACI Junior Members

Interactive Learning Stations

The Students Awareness Day is structured around five hands-on, interactive stations. Students will rotate through each station in small groups, exploring critical allergy- and asthma-related topics through demonstration, discussion, and participation.

Educational Goals

This event is designed to be practical, engaging, and empowering. It provides students with:

  • Basic health literacy around allergies and asthma

  • Life-saving skills in emergency response

  • Awareness of environmental and behavioral risk factors

  • Confidence to ask questions and advocate for their own health

Legacy and Impact

As EAACI’s first-ever Students Awareness Day, this initiative represents an enduring effort to extend scientific knowledge beyond traditional clinical audiences and into the wider community. It is a step toward building a healthier, better-informed future generation.
