FAAM-EUROBAT-ISMA 2026

19 - 21 November 2026 |
  • Utrecht, Netherlands

Welcome Message from the VP of Congresses

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the joint FAAM–EUROBAT–ISMA Meeting, a distinctive scientific forum that brings together three highly complementary communities united by a shared mission: advancing care for patients with food allergy and anaphylaxis.

By convening FAAM, EUROBAT, and ISMA under one roof in Utrecht, a city with a strong academic tradition and an outstanding environment for scientific exchange, this meeting offers a truly integrated platform for dialogue across disciplines and career stages. The scientific programme spans the full translational spectrum, from mechanisms and biomarkers to diagnosis, treatment, and real-world implementation, while encouraging critical discussion and collaboration.

On behalf of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology I warmly thank the organising committees, faculty, and partners for their dedication and vision. I encourage all participants to engage actively, connect across fields, and contribute to shaping the future directions of research, education, and patient care.

I wish you a stimulating, productive, and enjoyable meeting, and I very much look forward to the discussions and collaborations that will emerge from this joint FAAM–EUROBAT–ISMA initiative.

With my warmest regards,

André Moreira

Welcome Message from the Organising Committee

We are delighted to invite you to the FAAM–EUROBAT–ISMA meeting, taking place in Utrecht, the Netherlands. This landmark occasion is the first time that ISMA is being combined with FAAM-EUROBAT to provide a unique platform for scientific exchange and collaboration integrating multiple aspects of food allergy research and clinical practice.

FAAM–EUROBAT–ISMA Utrecht continues EAACI’s tradition of highly successful focused meetings and is one of the few worldwide meetings focussing on food allergy and anaphylaxis. This integrated meeting brings together internationally recognised experts and a multidisciplinary audience, including allergists, immunologists, allied healthcare professionals, researchers, and patient organisations for a comprehensive exploration of allergy from bench to bedside.

The scientific programme will reflect the full translational spectrum of food allergy research and patient care and provide an update on all aspects of food allergy from birth to adulthood and bench to bedside. Sessions will include the latest on prevention, immune mechanisms, and diagnostic tests, including advances in basophil and mast cell activation testing. There will be specific EUROBAT sessions focussing on advancing BAT/MAT methodology and quality assurance, providing guidance on implementation in food allergy. This year’s inclusion of ISMA will offer integration of molecular allergology and its impact on diagnosis and therapy in food allergy.

Management strategies will be a key topic, including dietary approaches (both traditional and immune-targeted), and emerging (immunomodulatory) treatments. The epidemiological factors including climate change, and pollution as well as novel food allergens will also be on the agenda.

Utrecht is centrally located and easy accessible city which can be reached by public transportation from Amsterdam airport within 30 minutes. Moreover, it is connected to many European cities in Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, France and Belgium by high speed train connections. Utrecht has a rich history spanning more than 2,000 years. Its historic centre, iconic Dom Tower, canals, 3 UNESCO world heritage sites within walking distance and vibrant cultural life make it an ideal venue for scientific discussion and collaboration.

FAAM–EUROBAT–ISMA Utrecht is designed to be a truly multi-disciplinary event, offering a unique opportunity to engage with world-renowned experts, share knowledge, and explore innovative approaches to patient care. The programme aims to drive scientific progress, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and ultimately improve outcomes for patients with allergic diseases.

We look forward to welcoming you to Utrecht.
