DHM 2026

EAACI Drug Hypersensitivity Meeting

09 - 11 April 2026 |
  • Antwerp, Belgium

Welcome message from the Organising Committee

We are very pleased to welcome you to the 11th Drug Hypersensitivity Meeting (DHM) which will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 9 –11 April 2026.

The DHM was first held in Bern in 2004 and has since been held every second year.  Since the 2014 meeting in Bern, it has become an EAACI focused meeting which has grown year by year and it was last held in Verona in 2023 with more than 850 participants.

The title of the DHM 2026 meeting is “Bridging basic and clinical science in drug hypersensitivity” and as a novel feature, we have integrated basic and clinical science in each session and made more time for discussion.

Researchers and physicians from different disciplines and different parts of world, will exchange their most up-to-date data in the continually evolving field of drug hypersensitivity, and discuss how to transfer them into clinical practice.

The meeting includes plenary lectures, parallel symposia, pro-con debate sessions and junior member educational activities on both immediate and delayed hypersensitivity. As a new and exciting feature, a plenary oral abstract competition is included in the program. Junior members are cordially invited to submit their cutting-edge research, and the best abstracts will be selected for the competition. There will also be other oral abstract sessions and poster sessions, and we hope you will submit many abstracts with new and exciting findings.

The scientific programme covers a wide range of topics including challenge of current paradigms, emerging mechanisms, advances in diagnosis and treatment, management of drug allergy in pediatrics and immunologically vulnerable patients, and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.

The DHM is the world leading event in the field of drug hypersensitivity. It will give you the chance to expand your own horizons scientifically, and will also give you a unique opportunity to meet drug allergy experts and new colleagues from all over the world.

We are sure you will enjoy the very attractive venue and vibrant city of Antwerp, known for its rich history, fashion scene and very good restaurants and terraces.

See you in Antwerp, or as the locals say – Tot in Antwerpen!

Welcome Message from the VP of Congresses

Dear EAACI Friends,

It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the EAACI Drug Hypersensitivity Meeting (DHM) 2026, to be held onsite in the historic and culturally rich city of Antwerp, Belgium, from 9–11 April 2026.

DHM has become a flagship focused meeting within the EAACI calendar, renowned for bringing together leading experts, clinicians, researchers, and early-career professionals in the field of drug allergy and hypersensitivity. Following the remarkable success of previous editions, DHM 2026 promises to deliver another high-impact, cutting-edge scientific programme.

The meeting will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advances in the diagnosis, mechanisms, and management of drug hypersensitivity reactions. Through in-depth plenaries, symposia, oral abstract sessions, and hands-on Junior Member education activities, participants will gain invaluable insights into clinical practices and translational science, including novel tools such as artificial intelligence, organoid models, and biologicals.

DHM 2026 will also highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, exploring how allergologists work alongside immunologists, dermatologists, infectious disease specialists, oncologists, and pharmacologists to tackle the complex nature of drug hypersensitivity across diverse patient populations — including children, immunocompromised individuals, and those with mast cell disorders.

As always, the meeting will serve as a catalyst for scientific exchange, networking, and collaboration, ensuring that emerging research translates into improved patient care. Whether you are a seasoned specialist or a newcomer to the field, you will find DHM 2026 to be an intellectually stimulating and professionally rewarding experience.

We look forward to welcoming you to Antwerp, a city that perfectly blends historic charm with modern innovation, for what will undoubtedly be an inspiring and memorable event.

With warm regards,
