Session Type

  • EAACI Journals Highlights (JH)

Organised with Allergy, Pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and Clinical and Translational Allergy Journals of EAACI, the traditional “Best of EAACI Journals” session provides the audience with an opportunity to review the best papers published throughout the year.

  • Flash Talks (FT)

Moderators will lead discussions featuring approximately 15 related posters per session, encouraging both the audience and presenters to place the work in context and highlight key themes and conclusions. These sessions will be conducted in electronic format across four designated PDS Zones in the Exhibition Hall. Additionally, a Poster Help Desk will be available in each e-Poster area. Please note: Sessions will be presented on-site only and will not be live streamed. Recordings will be available on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform after the congress.

  • Interactive Workshops (IWS)

Interactive Workshops (IWS) are sessions in which speakers share and discuss evidence and experience, clinical, translational, and/or basic, within a specific field. In line with the current pandemic situation, this year’s IWS will take place in a hybrid format (combining in-person and online participation). The session room will be arranged in a more informal way to encourage interactive discussions with participants. Live interaction with the audience is encouraged, both on-site and remotely via live webcasting. Sessions will be held on-site, live streamed on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform, and available On-Demand after the congress.

  • JMA Sessions (JMA)

A programme designed by and for the JMA, with the support of internationally renowned experts across a wide range of topics. Gain accredited knowledge and valuable education while exploring the latest technologies, approaches, and solutions for your future professional pathway. Sessions will be held on-site, live streamed on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform, and available On-Demand after the congress.

  • Meet the Expert (MTE)

Pre-registration is required. A separate registration fee applies. Meet the Expert sessions allow delegates to engage in small-group discussions with outstanding researchers and clinicians. The format is designed to foster informal conversations, enabling participants to ask questions and gain new insights. No formal presentations will be given; instead, participants will have ample time to interact with the faculty member and their peers. Sessions are for on-site participants only.

  • Oral Sessions (OAS)

The most outstanding work from abstracts submitted to the congress will be featured in these sessions, which begin with a brief introductory talk by one of the chairs. Each presenter will highlight their research and respond to questions from attendees. Sessions will be presented on-site only and not live streamed. Recordings will be available on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform after the congress.

  • Plenary Symposia (PL)

Plenary Symposia are at the core of the congress activities. These sessions provide comprehensive reviews of major topics within the specialty and are open to all congress participants. Plenary Symposia are scheduled during prime times in the programme, with no overlap with other activities, ensuring maximum attendance. Two parallel symposia will be held — one primarily clinical and the other focused on basic science. Leading international speakers have been invited to conduct these sessions. Due to their large scale, Plenary Symposia do not include time for questions or discussions. Sessions will be held on-site, live streamed on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform, and available On-Demand after the congress.

  • Pro & Con Sessions (P&C)

Pro & Con Sessions allow speakers to debate controversial topics in an engaging format that provides valuable “food for thought.” These lunchtime sessions take place in the Exhibition Hall. Sessions will be held on-site, live streamed on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform, and available On-Demand after the congress.

  • Satellite Symposia (SAT)

Satellite Symposia take place after the conclusion of the main scientific programme each day. These sessions are independently organised by sponsoring companies, which also select the topics and speakers, subject to approval by the Scientific Programme Committee.

  • Sister Society Symposia (SSS)

Joint EAACI–Sister Society Symposia have been developed in collaboration with several sister societies to highlight regional and scientific areas of shared interest. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge beyond traditional boundaries.

  • Symposia (SYM)

Symposia are state-of-the-art educational sessions in which speakers critically review different aspects of a specific topic. These sessions are designed for delegates who are particularly interested in the subject or wish to update their knowledge in the field.

  • Thematic Symposia (TSY)

Thematic Symposia are theme-based, cutting-edge educational sessions in which speakers critically highlight novel breakthroughs related to a specific theme. These sessions are intended for delegates who are particularly interested in the topic and wish to update their knowledge in the field.

  • Thematic Poster Session (TPS)

Poster Discussion Sessions feature abstracts grouped thematically into blocks of 15–20 posters, which are displayed throughout the day. During lunchtime, presenters are available at their posters to discuss their work and answer questions from delegates and moderators.

  • E-Thematic Poster Session (E-TPS)

Abstracts in this category will be available on the digital platform only.

  • Year in Review (YIR)

Year in Review Sessions provide comprehensive and authoritative overviews of the most significant highlights published over the past year on a specific topic. Sessions will be held on-site, live streamed on the EAACI Congress Digital Platform, and available On-Demand after the congress.
