About the Conference Vetting System (CVS)

EAACI provides detailed information about the Congress through the CVS review process, which is based on six key criteria:

  1. Scientific programme
  2. Geographic location
  3. Conference venue
  4. Hospitality
  5. Registration package benefits
  6. Communication

The CVS is an independently managed system that reviews the compliance of third-party educational events with the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and the Mecomed Code of Business Practice.
Its purpose is to determine whether companies that are members of MedTech Europe and Mecomed may provide financial support to such events in the form of educational grants or commercial activities (e.g. exhibition booths, advertising, or satellite symposia).

EthicalMedTech is the official compliance portal of MedTech Europe, hosting all compliance initiatives managed by the association.
The e4ethics system has been integrated into this platform at the request of EFPIA to centralise and harmonise the assessment processes across both industries.

This integration reflects the joint commitment of EFPIA and MedTech Europe to ensure consistency and alignment across the healthcare industry for the benefit of all stakeholders.
By adopting a unified approach and decision mechanism, both associations aim to provide consistency in how Third Party Organised Events (TPOEs) are assessed and to streamline how industry members, national associations, healthcare organisations, and professional conference organisers collaborate.
