  • Sierra Nevada, Spain

We are excited to extend our warm invitation to join the 24th EAACI Immunology Winter School on Basic Immunology Research in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, which will take place onsite in the stunning Sierra Nevada mountains in Spain, from 15 to 18 January 2026.

The aim of the EAACI Winter School is to enhance the impact of basic and clinical immunology research in the fields of allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology, and to create a productive environment where junior scientists have the opportunity to meet and discuss immunology research with renowned scientists and opinion leaders in the field.

The Immunology Winter Schools have been highly successful events for over 20 years and are now a respected institution among both emerging and established scientists across Europe and beyond. This prestigious event will gather 70 selected young scientists who are actively engaged in the fields of Basic and Clinical Immunology and Allergy.

We look forward to receiving your abstract submissions for the Winter School 2026 and to welcoming you to Sierra Nevada!

What Others Say

Testimonials from Winter School Participants

The Winter School presents a great opportunity for both master’s and PhD students. It offers advantages not only in terms of engaging with peers working in different laboratories but also in networking with leading professors in the field. From a scientific perspective, it provides exposure to various experimental techniques, allows for the examination of different research approaches, and facilitates discussions on similar studies, ultimately broadening one’s perspective. Additionally, the small group of attendees provides a unique opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with peers who share the same research interests but offer diverse perspectives.

Dilara Karagüzel, Delegate of the Winter School 2025, PhD student, Member of Basic & Clinical Immunology Section, Junior Member Assembly

This conference is unique that it provides so many benefits to junior members all together in one conference. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the opportunity to watch keynote speakers in the afternoon and then discuss your topics of interest at dinner provides so much advantage to students. Additionally, the chance to network, try something different like skiing, and build new friendships makes the experience even more enriching.

Jitesh Chauhan, Delegate of the Winter School 2025, PhD student, Member of Working Group AllergoOncology, Junior Member Assembly

I had the chance to meet new peers who share similar interests, as well as incredibly inspiring guest speakers from diverse scientific backgrounds. I really appreciated the environment that was created. It encouraged open discussions about science in a way that felt natural and engaging.

Paolo D’Avino, PhD student, Delegate of the Winter School 2025, Member of Dermatology Section, Environmental & Occupational Allergy Interest Group
