Sabine Altrichter has studied medicine at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria and has worked in her thesis on autoreactivity in atopic dermatitis in the lab of Prof. Stingl. She then moved to Berlin and did her training as dermatologist and allergologist at the Department of Dermatology and Allergology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. There, her research has focussed on translational studies in the field of chronic urticaria and cholinergic urticaria. In, 2021 she has moved to Linz, Austria and has become lead senior physician at the dermatology department of the comprehensive allergy center of the Kepler University Hospital. The current resarch is focussed on mast cell driven diseases and their differential diagnosis and IgE driven pahomechanisms.
