Marta Ferrer, is the Dean of the Universidad de Navarra School of Medicine in Pamplona, 

Spain. 

Born in Barcelona, Spain. She obtained the Medical Degree at the University of Zaragoza,

and the Doctorate at the University of Navarra obtaining the PhD Annual Award. After

the Doctorate and the Allergy Residence, she worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at

the Division of Allergy, at the State University of New York At Stony Brook, NY and

subsequently as a Research Associate at the Division of Allergy at the Medical University

Of South Carolina, Charleston, USA.

She dedicates her work and research to studying the physiopathology of chronic 

spontaneous urticaria and angioedema, new immunotherapy adjuvants, as well as 

implementing innovation in Medical Education with special focus on implementing in 

Medical Education Design Thinking. She is the 2023 recipient of the Clemens Von Pirquet Award from  the EAACIfor her groundbreaking research and career in Allergy
