Prof. Asli Akkor is a Professor of Immunology and Allergic Diseases at the Department of Immunology and Allergic Diseases, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey.

She received her medical degree in 1996 from Istanbul University, where she also completed fellowships in internal medicine and allergic diseases in 2001 and 2004, respectively.

Prof. Akkor was the Foreign Relations Chair and an ExCom member of the Turkish National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (TNSACI) in 2017-2022. She was Co-Editor of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology and is currently on the editorial board of Allergy. She was an ExCom Member of European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) as a member in 2019-2024. She is the EAACI NAIS Committee since 2024.

She has published over 130 articles in scientific journals and international book chapters on angioedema.
