Dr Hanneke Oude Elberink trained in Allergy/Clincal immunology at the UMC Groningen. She undertook a PhD investigating quality of life in insect venom allergy.
Her passion is improving the care of allergic patients with an overarching focus on the underlying mechanism.

Research & publications
Dr Oude Elberink is currently clinician scientist in adult allergy within the UMCG, heading the Allergology dept. She is principal investigator, investigating mainly mastocytosis and insect venom anaphylaxis. Her other research interests include urticaria, drug allergy and HAE.
She has lectured at a number of national and international meetings. She is an active member of the ECNM, has been chairing the Insect Venom allergy section within the EAACI. She is/has been participating in several guidelines (eg anaphylaxis, food, insect venom, urticaria, mastocytosis) .
