Emilia Vassilopoulou

Emilia Vassilopoulou is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the International University of Greece (DIPAE). She is a graduate of Harokopio University, with a PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens (EKPA) on a topic relevant to food allergens characterization. During her postdoctoral research she worked on the eating behaviors of atopic/allergic individuals and nutritional factors that contribute to the immunomodulation in infants and children. In 2021 she completed her studies in Psychology (BSc) (University of Neapolis, Paphos). She worked as an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus (2011-2018). Her main research interests focus on allergic diseases, allergen classification, eating behaviors/ disordered eating and food immunomodulation, diet effect on neurological and mental disorders. She has 3 relevant chapters in books and two monographs, as well as participations in relevant funded research projects.
