Prof. Sediva has a long time experience as a pediatrician working at all levels of pediatric care, from a local hospital to university-affiliated specialized centers. Her further practice in immunology includes internships abroad from 1992 to 1995 at New York Medical College in NY, USA and further in 2021 as the Fulbright scholar at the University of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA, in 2001. She further specialized in immunodeficiencies and from 2010 to 2015 she held a position on the ESID board since 2011 she has been chairing the Jeffrey Modell Foundation Center for primary immunodeficiencies in Prague. Prof. Sediva holds currently the position of vice-head of the Department of Immunology at a major University hospital in Prague. She is responsible for the field of pediatric immunopathologies with an emphasis on inborn errors of immunity. She has been involved in EAACI since 2015 and she chaired the Working Group for Immunodeficiencies between 2018 and 2022.
