So Ri Kim is a professor in the Division of Respiratory Medicine and Allergy, Department of Internal Medicine, Jeonbuk National University Medical School and Hospital (Jeonju, South Korea). In 2006, she got her doctorate in the field of asthma at the same school. She is a clinical physician and scientist in the field of basic research regarding chronic airway inflammatory disorders. Her current research is ongoing on the molecular biology of the pathogenesis of severe asthma and pulmonary disorders, focusing on the relationship with subcellular organelles and the related immune responses specifically in airway epithelium. She is a member of professional academic societies of respiratory medicine, allergy, and immunology throughout the world as well as an author of several books and numerous scientific articles. She has been invited as a speaker at several international conferences.
