Maria Bova

Maria Bova graduated in 2001 with an MD degree from the University of Naples, Italy. She specialised in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Naples in 2005. She spent several months as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. In 2009, she received a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Pathophysiology from University of Naples, focused on treating patients with HAE.
Since 2006, Dr Bova has worked as a Medical Officer in the Internal and Emergency Medicine Department at Villa Malta Hospital, Sarno, Salerno and then at AORN cardarelli, Naples. She is a lecturer in the Physiopathology of Allergic Diseases for Specialization in Clinical Immunology and Allergy at University of Naples. Dr Bova has been a co-investigator on many clinical studies of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to hereditary and acquired angioedema and mastocytosis. From 2019 elected member of EAACI Dermatology Section Board.
