Over the last 6 years my research work has been based on preclinical models both in vivo and in vitro to study the effector mechanisms of different types of vaccines including: antineoplastic, bacterial and anti-allergenic vaccines. Mainly my studies and results are focused on the development of antineoplastic vaccines based on tumor carbohydrates present in the plasma membrane of tumor cells as a target for the immune response. These studies focus their activity in knowing the antibody response and cellular response generated by these carbohydrates and how animals are protected against the development of tumors carrying these membrane structures.
