Ana Carmen Sevilla Ortega
Ana Carmen Sevilla Ortega was born in Burgos, Spain. She obtained her degree in Pharmacy in 2018 at Salamanca University (USAL) and developed her final grade project “Establishment of an in vitro gene therapy model in chronic myeloid leukemia using the genomic editing system CRISPR/Cas9” at IBMCC, CSIC-USAL. In 2018, she started the Master Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at Complutense University of Madrid, and she joined the group of Dr. Oscar Palomares at the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Chemistry, to carry out her final master degree project “Mechanism of action of bacterial and fungal immunomodulators in human DCs for the prevention and treatment of urinary tract infections”. In 2019, Carmen obtained a “Doctorado industrial” fellowship from Madrid Community to perform her PhD in the group.
