Third Party Press conferences and Press Releases
Companies wishing to organise a news conference during the Congress or EAACI Event should send a request in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Costs for meeting rooms and equipment will apply. It is not permitted to schedule press events, either on or off site, to coincide with key conference sessions or official EAACI media events. Contact the e-mail above for time slots available. Any news conference must pertain to presentations being made to the Congress or event in oral or poster sessions. This applies to any media event, regardless of whether it is held on or off site. The programme for any third-party news conference should be submitted to and agreed by EAACI before any invitations are sent out.
Third party press releases related to scientific presentations at the conference must be labelled clearly with the abstract number, time and date of presentation to the Congress, and submitted to, and agreed by EAACI before they are issued to the media. Third party press releases relating to late breaking abstracts and any other abstracts that are being held back for publication online on the day of presentation to the Congress (e.g. those that form part of the official media programme) must be embargoed to the date of the presentation, with the earliest possible embargo time being 00.01hrs CEST on the day of presentation.
Third party media materials (including press releases, media invitations, flyers and posters) must not contain the EAACI logo and must not be presented in any way that could be construed as suggesting endorsement by EAACI. EAACI does not make media lists available to third party organisations.
Embargo Policy Industry
Industry, session presenters, exhibitors or their PR representatives, may not distribute press materials at EAACI events.
Press materials subject to this embargo comprise any EAACI related news releases or statements, including press releases, summaries, abstracts, findings, etc.
Industry, presenters, exhibitors or their PR representatives’ press materials cannot include the EAACI and/or affiliated trademarks or logos, without EAACI approval.
Press materials may be released only once the embargo is lifted by EAACI. Industry, session presenters, exhibitors or their PR representatives, whether on-site or off-site, are expected to abide by the full EAACI industry media policy including the embargo policy, and to make sure that any member of staff or any third party acting on their behalf and/or under their authority, whether on-site or off-site, comply with the EAACI industry media policy.
Breaking of an EAACI embargo by any industry, session presenter, exhibitor or their PR representatives, as well as any member of staff or any third party acting on the behalf of and/or under the authority of any Industry, session presenter or exhibitor, is a contractual breach. The person/entity who released the information will be held accountable and will be subjected to the penalties listed in V.
