Paola Rogliani, MD is Full Professor in Respiratory Medicine at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and Head of the Respiratory Medicine Unit of the Policlinico Tor Vergata (Rome-Italy). She has published extensively in the field of obstructive respiratory diseases in both asthma and COPD. The main scientific activity has been devoted to the study of bronchodilators, mechanisms of action both in experimental conditions and in translational studies on patients focused on the evaluation of the onset of action of new bronchodilator molecules and their associations. Validation of the clinical rationale for the use of combinations of inhaled treatments in combination with each other or with anti-inflammatory molecules and characterization of the pharmacological, additive or synergistic nature.
