Tsung-Chieh Yao, MD, PhD is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Chang Gung University, Taiwan. He was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Department of Pediatrics, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (2015-2020). He serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Research and Development, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. He is now the Secretary General of the Taiwan Academy of Pediatric Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Professor Yao is a leading principle investigator in two prospective population-based cohort studies, the PATCH schoolchildren cohort and the LIGHTS cohort, with research focused on investigating the epidemiology and predictive factors of asthma and allergies in children. He has published more than 140 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as Ann Intern Med, JAMA Pediatr, J Allergy Clin Immunol, Allergy, Eur Respir J, Arthritis Rheum, Pediatr Allergy Immunol, Pediatrics, and J Pediatr.
