Thomas Kündig

1987 Thomas Kündig graduated in medicine at the University of Zurich. 1988 he made his MD in physiology. After one-year residency in surgery, he made the postgraduate course in Experimental Medicine and Biology, and was a post-doc at the Institute for Experimental Immunology at Zurich University (Prof. Rolf Zinkernagel), followed by a post-doc at the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto (Prof. Tak Mak). Back in Switzerland, Thomas Kündig joined the Dermatology Department at the USZ in 1995. He obtained a Venia Legendi for Experimental Immunology in 1998. From 1999 to 2004, he worked as Senior Physician for Dermatology and until 2006 as Head Physician for Experimental Immunotherapy at the USZ. In 2006 he became Head of the Research and in 2016 also head of the outpatient clinic. In 2017, he was appointed Associate Professor ad personam for Immunodermatology. In 2019 he was appointed Full Professor of Dermatology and Venereology and Chair of the department.
