EAACI Congress 2023 Back

Prof. Dr. Philippe Gevaert (MD, PhD) is full professor in Rhinology and Allergy at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Ghent University, Belgium. Further, he is the scientific coordinator of the Allergy Network of the Ghent University Hospital and his clinical and research activities are focused on allergic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis with and without nasal polyps.

Since 1998 he is active in the Upper Airway Research Laboratory at the University of Ghent. Currently, his research is focused on local IgE, allergen specific immunotherapy and biologicals in allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers. He received 9 international research awards.

He was the EAACI Junior Member (JMA) Chair in 2003-2005, EAACI interest group “Infection and Allergy” Chair in 2009 - 2011 and EAACI ENT section Chair in 2017-2019.
