Mario Pérez Diego was born in Zamora, Spain, in 1995. He obtained his degree in Health Biology in 2017 at Alcala de Henares University. In 2017, he started his master’s degree in Investigation in Immunology at Complutense University of Madrid. During his master’s degree, he joined the group of Dr. Oscar Palomares at the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Chemistry, to carry out his final master degree project. His work was focused on the study of the effect of novel vaccines generated by coupling glutaraldehyde-polymerized grass pollen allergoids to nonoxidized mannan in the monocyte differentiation into dendritic cells and macrophages. Currently, Mario is performing his PhD in the group with a FPI fellowship. His work is focused on the better understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in the capacity of cannabinoids to regulate functional propertiens of myeloid cells and epithelial cells.
