I am an allergist and clinical immunologist and a specialist and internal medicine. I received a doctorate in medicine with distinction from Northwestern University in Chicago Illinois in 1978. I completed an internal medicine residency at Washington University of St. Louis in 1981 and a combined fellowship in allergy and research immunology/rheumatology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 1984. I served on a faculty at Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women's Hospital continuously from 1984 until 2010 in the Department of internal medicine and division of allergy and immunology and joining the faculty at George Washington University as Clinical Professor of Medicine in 2010. I am Director of immunology Research Institute of New England since 1989; Past President of INTERASMA--Global Asthma Association; Past President of the American Association of Certified Allergist; and Distinguished fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology
