Jihyun Kim earned her medical degree from Chung-Ang University, Seoul, Korea. She went on to complete her residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Chung-Ang University Hospital and her fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergy at Samsung Medical Center. She is currently the Professor at Samsung Medical Center, where she conducts cutting-edge research and treats children with allergic diseases and pulmonary diseases.

She is interested in the research to determine biomarkers and new treatment options for children with severe atopic dermatitis and food allergy using multi-omic approaches, and has authored numerous publications in leading medical journals including Allergy and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She is a member of KAAACI, Korean Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
