Gohar Tsakanova, PhD, is Leading Scientist, Head of Laboratory and Deputy Director at the Institute of Molecular Biology NAS RA, as well as Leading Scientist and Head of Laboratory at the CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute. Dr. Tsakanova’s primary work is related to the molecular and cellular pathomechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, aging, cancer, neurobiology and radiobiology with a focus on immunology, genomics, neurobiology, oxidative stress, inflammation apoptosis and two-photon imaging.
