Basic researcher with immunology background and passion for allergy field. Both master and PhD projects were devoted to the research of not as prevalent, however highly important cells - basophils. The master project was focused on the development of and in-house assay for the flow cytometric detection of histamine in basophils and LAD2 cells. The PhD project, however, revolved around phenotype and responsiveness of basophils, phenotype of mast cell progenitors and serum biomarkers in chronic urticaria patients treated with Omalizumab. The interest in the biology of basophils and their role in health and disease maintained and are still the focus of my research.
