David B. Peden, MD, MS, FAAAAI, is the Andrews Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics, Senior Associate Dean for Translational Research and Medical Director of the UNC Center for Environmental Medicine, Asthma and Lung Biology of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
Dr. Peden is an internationally recognized allergist/clinical immunologist and an expert regarding the effect of pollutants in asthma. He has authored or co-authored 216 peer reviewed publications and 18 book chapters. He is the Editor-in-Cheif the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology:Global, a past President of the American Academy, Asthma and Immunology, and serves on the Board of Directors of the World Allergy Organization.
Dr. Peden received his MD degree from West Virginia University, where he was also was a resident and chief resident of Pediatrics. He did his allergy and immunology fellowship at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the NIH in Bethesda, MD.
