I am Chair of Epidemiology and Health Services Research at the University of Magdeburg, Germany and also Visiting Professor of Health Services Research at Family Medicine & Primary Care, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU Singapore. My background is in public health, medical sociology and health services research. My research interests are centred around the (clinical) epidemiology of skin and allergic diseases, patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures, core outcome sets (COS) for research and practice, health literacy, patient involvement in research and evidence synthesis. I am spokesperson of the research group HELICAP (Health Literacy in Early Childhood Allergy Prevention), funded by the German Research Foundation.
