She is a professor at the University of Évora where she developed education programs in Biochemistry and in Biomedical Sciences and Health. As a researcher she integrated the Institute of Earth Sciences in 2014 where she has been developing the field of Bioaerosol monitoring, characterization and pollution relationships, and their Health Impacts. Within the EAACI she has been participating in the WG of Aerobiology & Pollution and has performed abstract and paper reviews and integrated Task Forces. She has also been a Portuguese nomenee for MC member for Cost Actions (FA 1402; CA 18226) and for representative of the Portuguese Institute of Quality on the CEN/TC 264/WG 39 (has participated in the development of the norm PR/NF/EN-16868). Within the research activities, she has participated in several national and international projects, has been awarded 5 prizes, proposed one EPO patent (EP3839058A1), published over 50 works in the field of Aerobiology and Allergy.
