Dr. Nakao graduated from School of Medicine, Chiba University, Japan in 1989, and worked on a clinical internship for 2 years at Chiba University Hospital (Chiba, Japan). From 1991 to 1993, he worked as a physician at Asahi General Hospital (Chiba Japan).From 1995 to 1997, he worked as a guest researcher at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Uppsala University (Uppsala, Sweden). He received his PhD at Chiba University in 1997. During 1999-2003, he worked as a lecturer at Atopy Research Center, Juntendo University School of Medicine (Tokyo, Japan). From 2003 to present, he is in the position of Professor, Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Yamanashi and Visiting Professor, Atopy Research Center, Juntendo University School of Medicine. Dr. Nakao is interested in the pathophysiology of allergic disease. The current special interest is circadian biology of allergic disease; how time-of-day affects allergic reaction.
