In 2009 she was recognized as a contracted Doctor-I3 Professor, joining the PDI body of the Escuela Técnica Superior Agronómica, Alimentaria y Biosistemas (UPM, Spain). She is currently working with her research group at the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (UPM-INIA). Her scientific career has been developed in the area of food safety/ health and plant biotechnology, applying basic knowledge to the development of methods of diagnosis and treatment of allergies, as well as methods of detection of hidden allergens. In the period 2013-2017, the group has published 40 original articles in journals in the first quartile of the Allergy area, 6 invited journals and 8 conferences in international meetings with more than 3800 citations and an h 37 index (Scopus).
